Jakobie Whitaker, also known as Kobie, is a certified Speech Therapy Assistant with experience in many settings such as private clinics, pre-school settings, home health, and telehealth services.
Kobie was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, North Carolina in May 2012. Aggie Pride! She moved to Atlanta, Georgia shortly after graduating where she gained employment and began working as a licensed SLPA for a private clinic. She relocated back to North Carolina in 2015 and became licensed as an SLPA in the state of North Carolina as an SLPA in 2018.
She has worked with children and families from all types of backgrounds. Kobie has experience working with children with a variety of communication needs including expressive and receptive language disorders; articulation and phonological disorders; fluency; autism spectrum disorder; as well as Asperger’s.
Kobie has a passion for working with the pediatric population. She always makes sure to build a strong and positive rapport with the children she services and their families to maximize the optimal care that she provides. She uses an array of therapy techniques to help children reach their goals. She can’t wait to help turn your child’s challenges into triumphs!
In her spare time, Kobie enjoys spending time with her husband and children; traveling, baking, and trying new things.
