Mishay Mecham

Speech Therapist

Mishay Mecham is a certified Speech Language Pathologist from Charleston, South Carolina. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. After completing her bachelor’s Mishay worked as an SLPA (speech language pathologist assistant) for 2 years in the public schools. She was then able to attend Utah State University in Logan, Utah and received her master’s degree in communication disorders and deaf education. 

​Mishay’s clinical experiences include working in preschools, public schools, and skilled nursing facilities. She has experience working with children of all ages and adults. She has worked with speech sound disorders, phonological delays, expressive and receptive language delays, stuttering, augmentative communication systems, cognitive impairments, and dysphagia. Mishay’s experience includes working with children with autism, Down Syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, and developmental delays. 

Mishay has developed a passion for working with the pediatric population. She enjoys using a child directed therapy approach and working with families to provide the most effective plan of care for each individual child.
