Kiara was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina and is a Speech Pathologist Clinical Fellow. Kiara received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from East Carolina University in 2022 located in Greenville, NC. Moving back closer to home, she later completed her CSD Master’s Degree at North Carolina Central University in 2024 in Durham, NC. Planting roots in the RDU area to pursue pediatric speech therapy has been a goal of hers since she began her professional journey.
Kiara has clinical experience treating children with a variety of disorders including Down syndrome, developmental delays, articulation and language disorders, fluency disorders, pragmatic disorders, AAC users and Autism. From these experiences, she has advocated/accommodated clients, shown patience/compassion, and developed a sense of humor to connect with every child she works with.
Coming from a tight-knit family, Kiara recognizes the benefit of having a support system for all children. Kiara encourages family centered therapy through child-led play and joint planning with family. She is eager to begin her clinical fellowship working closely with families and her Therapy Smarts team to provide the best services for each child that walks in!
