Jamal is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
He graduated from Durham Technical Community College with an Associate’s degree in Applied Science (AAS). Jamal has always been passionate about working with children and supporting their growth and development. He views Occupational Therapy as the perfect blend of his two core passions – teaching/helping others – while deepening his understanding of the connection between the mind and body. Jamal began his OTA career with Therapy Smarts over a year ago as a new graduate and has continued to grow both personally and professionally within the field. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active at the gym and relaxing by watching movies and shows.
