Katherine is a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow who is excited to join Therapy Smarts. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Carolina University. Katherine believes that communication is an essential part of daily life and is passionate about helping others find confidence in their speech and communication.
Throughout her clinical training, Katherine has worked with a variety of populations throughout the lifespan in settings such as elementary schools, private practice, and a skilled nursing facility. She has experience supporting clients with speech sound disorders, receptive/expressive language disorders, fluency disorders, AAC needs, and other communication challenges. Katherine values collaborating closely with clients, families, and caregivers to create meaningful treatment plans. She also ensures that sessions are functional, engaging, and personalized to help clients achieve their goals.
