Ms. Savannah

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Savannah is a licensed certified occupational therapist assistant (COTA/L) with a strong passion for helping children and families thrive. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from Durham Tech. Prior to pursuing a career in OT, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education at UNC Wilmington. Before entering the field of occupational therapy, Savannah worked for three years as a teacher at a Montessori school. It was during this time that she discovered a deeper calling to support children with special needs in a more individualized and therapeutic way. This realization led her to the field of occupational therapy, where she found a meaningful way to combine her background in education with her desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and their families.

Savannah is passionate about delivering client-centered, occupation-based treatment sessions that are tailored to each child’s interests and needs. She believes every individual is capable of achieving their goals– sometimes it just takes a little creativity and adaptation. She enjoys incorporating handmade tools, crafts, and playful activities into her sessions to make therapy both fun and functional.

A Raleigh native, Savannah values the connections she has built in the area. She finds joy in spending time with her husband, daughter, and a lively household that includes two dogs, a cat, and seven chickens. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, visiting the beach, and working in her garden. She dreams of one day moving to the country to expand her garden and raise her family in a quieter setting. Savannah
brings compassion, creativity, and a strong commitment to helping children reach their full potential through meaningful and engaging therapeutic experiences.
