Mr. Khalil
Occupational Therapist
Khalil received his master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2023. Khalil was born and raised in Washington State where he relocated to NC to attend his master’s program and career in OT. While in the program, Khalil has gained a multitude of academic and clinical experience in numerous client populations and settings. Khalil has experience in community OT in which he assisted with advocacy efforts and mentorship to young adults with various neurodivergent conditions for their participation and performance in leisure-time skills, vocational goals, and overall success transitioning to adulthood. Additionally, Khalil has completed a level II fieldwork placement in outpatient pediatrics working with children ranging in ages and conditions including attention deficit/hyperactive disorder, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing difficulties, biomechanical disorders, and developmental/learning delays.
Khalil is passionate about developing evidenced-based strategies to meet the individual needs of each client and cultivating a collaborative relationship with caregivers and families. Khalil continues to provide allyship to those marginalized by their conditions and the idea that there are different ways of “being”.
Khalil has been in NC since 2021 and is embracing the change in scenery! In his free time, Khalil enjoys watching and attending sporting events, working out, building Legos, going to the movies, and spending time with his fiancée.
